Boring

I used to go to the gym twice/three times a week and exercise on all the cardio machines there are in there, treadmill, elliptical, bicycle, stepper, you name it … then I go on the abs and arms machines. And I can tell you that running on a steady pace on a treadmill is not the most exciting thing to do. But now, it’s all over. I can barely get through a 30 minute workout without  daydreaming about something else. Exercise isn’t fun anymore. What happened? It’s simple, really. I am bored. Actually, after three minutes of exercise I’m like “okay, now what?” I’m bored there. And it doesn’t matter if I listen to an audio book or to the radio or even watch TV, I’m just bored at the gym. I noticed that when I listen to music, I tend to use songs to count how long I’ve been exercising since most of the songs last about 3,4 minutes. So I don’t enjoy the music at all.

Maybe it is time to change my training routine. I’ll try to alternate more workouts. We’ll see.
