“Fluctuat nec mergitur”

“Tossed but not sunk”.
The motto has been used by the city of Paris since at bybenjamin regnierleast the fourteenth century.
It is now written on a fresco on Place de la République where people can see a lot of signs saying “we are not scared”.
I stand in solidarity for the victims of terrorism after the terror attacks in Paris on Friday November 13th.
France is now under state of emergency and begins three days of mourning.

I was supposed to see a U2 concert tonight in Paris to lift my spirits a little. The show is canceled, of course.

But yesterday night all the members of U2 join mourners paying tribute to victims outside the Bataclan theatre where a terrorist attack took place the night before.
