“I can tell you that if I had been at the Bataclan or in one of the cafés, I would have opened fire. I might have died, but I would have drawn [my gun],” Trump was quoted as saying in the interview by French news site 20 Minutes.

“Do you really think that if there had been a few armed and trained people in the audience, things would have turned out that way?” Trump continues. “I don’t think so. They would have killed the terrorists. It’s good sense.”

Speaking at a campaign rally in Beaumont, Texas, the day after the November 13 [2015] attacks, Trump said the situation would have been “much, much different” if France had more lenient gun laws.                                     from Vice News

Oh yeah?

Well, it seems that both in France and in the U.S., nobody (even Americans!) managed to stop the killer before the intervention of the police who showed up 2 or 3 hours after the beginning of the shooting.

*  “What is important is not what happens to us, but how we respond to what happens to us.”

“Tossed but not sunk”.
The motto has been used by the city of Paris since at bybenjamin regnierleast the fourteenth century.
It is now written on a fresco on Place de la République where people can see a lot of signs saying “we are not scared”.
I stand in solidarity for the victims of terrorism after the terror attacks in Paris on Friday November 13th.
France is now under state of emergency and begins three days of mourning.

I was supposed to see a U2 concert tonight in Paris to lift my spirits a little. The show is canceled, of course.

But yesterday night all the members of U2 join mourners paying tribute to victims outside the Bataclan theatre where a terrorist attack took place the night before.

In the middle, nothing stays;
At the end, nothing goes.
